A long-term lab and field study by Chevron and Workstrings International published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, tested 18 leading coatings on drill pipes for eight years. Drill pipes are the toughest environment anyone can ever imagine and Rust Grip® was the top performer. Project Description
Rust Grip® is being used by Workstrings International® to protect and extend the life of completion tubulars (drill pipe) in the oil and gas industry. There is no tougher or more corrosive environment.
Coating Solution
Completion tubulars coated with Rust Grip® have been used on five (5) back to back open water intervention projects with zero downgrades as compared to one project with an uncoated completion tubular exhibiting serious pitting and corrosion.
Results
Rust Grip® provides a protective film of superior adhesion and flexibility, and is resistant to abrasion, impact, chemical solvents, and acid splash. Since 2015, Workstrings has coated over 3,500,000 feet with zero tube corrosion downgrades.
